October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pink ribbons, and the various organizations surrounding Pinktober, have done amazing things for breast cancer research and awareness over the years. In October, many people were reminded to have screenings and to encourage loved ones to do so as well. But Breast Cancer affects us 12 months out of the year.  According to various cancer organizations, there will be approximately 300,000 new diagnoses of breast cancer in 2015. When Pinktober ends, these men and women are still fighting the disease. And, yes, I typed men. There are approximately 2,400 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in men every year.

As a business that caters to women, we support the causes that most affect women. That’s why, for the next week (November 1-November 8), if you purchase anything pink on our site, we will donate 10% of the sale to Susan G. Komen. An organization whose mission is to “save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.” Michael’s donates to cancer causes year round, but we feel that Pinktober needs to be extended. We need to remember the battle doesn’t end on October 31. Maybe, with this promotion, just one more woman will get an exam.  Or maybe, a man will realize that he too can be affected by the disease in a very intimate and personal way. We want to be part of the mission to “end breast cancer forever”.

Our sale includes our most exquisite pink pieces, like these gorgeous cold weather essentials by Chanel, Oscar De La Renta , Vanessa Bruno and these stunning heels by Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe Zanotti. So let's get shopping ladies- while keeping a very important cause in mind.
